
Contributing to the promotion and establishment of the importance of industrial product design for manufacturing, the company Dromeas has established the Industrial Furniture Design Competition since 2000. Successfully, the 5th International Industrial Design Competition for Office & Home Furniture has just concluded.
The evaluation committee for selecting the award-winning proposals consisted of architect and representative of the Polytechnic School of AUTH, Department of Architecture, Stavros Vergopoulos; industrial designer Andreas Zapatinas; decorator and representative of the Decorators’ Associations Athanasios Kolafatis; civil engineer and representative of the Technical Chamber of Greece, Serres Branch, Stavros Logothetidis; architect and representative of the Association of Architects Graduates of Higher Schools, Evangelos Lyroudias; mechanical engineer and representative of NTUA, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Nikolaos Marmaras; and architect and representative of the Hellenic Institute of Architecture, Alexandros Tombazis.
The committee convened at the company’s headquarters in the Industrial Area of Serres. They evaluated 124 proposals and selected the following winners:

1st Prize to Katerina Lanara for the visitor chair LOXI, with a monetary award of €10,000.

2nd Prize to Antonios Antoniadis for the partition FEELIO, with a monetary award of €4,000.

3rd Prize to LIMESTUDIO for the desk TENK, with a monetary award of €2,000.
The award ceremony and exhibition featuring all the entries will be held soon, with the company Dromeas announcing the date and location of the event.
